Internet address has been distributed by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). ICANN divide the rations Internet address to the five regional organizations around the world.
"Pool central addresses will be used up in January," said Ernesto Majo, Communications Director Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean, based in Montevideo.
Furthermore, Majo explained that this week, four blocks of Internet addresses will be used up.
"We are left with five blocks, and it was decided that it would be distributed to each regional Internet registration," Majo said, as quoted from the site Physorg.com.
But according to Majo, this is not going to be a serious problem. Because the new internet protocol would allow the issuance of billions of new internet addresses.
Internet address on the old Internet protocol, Internet Protocol version 4 / IPv4, consisting of four billion Internet addresses and nearly reached its limit. While the new protocol, IPv6 allows billions of new addresses.
